Subject: INA signed contracts related to renewable energy sources

INA, d.d. has signed two contracts for the Green Hydrogen Production Project at the Rijeka Refinery. First one, in the amount of EUR 22.5 million (excluding VAT), for the construction of facility for the production and distribution of green hydrogen was signed with the consortium of bidders KONČAR - Elektroindustrija d.d. za proizvodnju i usluge and Siemens Energy, d.o.o., and the other one, in the amount of EUR 10.9 million (excluding VAT), for the construction of 11 MW solar power plant was signed with KONČAR - Elektroindustrija d.d. za proizvodnju i usluge. As part of the project, INA purchased a 10 MW electrolyzer, which will be installed as part of the works defined by the contract for the construction of the renewable hydrogen production facility.

Produced green hydrogen will be used for commercial purposes and can also be used for production in the refinery. Based on the decision of the Ministry of Economy, the project has received support that should provide non-refundable funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, in an amount of up to EUR 15 million, which represents the first such financial model applied within INA.

By implementing this project, INA contributes to green transition, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and strengthening its sustainable energy portfolio.
