Imugene Annual General Meeting Presentation by Executive Chairman

==> picture [198 x 65] intentionally omitted <==

Dear Shareholders,

Thank you for joining us today at Imugene’s Annual General Meeting for the 2011/2012 financial year.

No doubt you are aware that this company has undergone significant change in the past year. Following a thorough review the decision was taken to cease development of the company’s animal health assets and shift our focus to concentrate solely on advancing our drug delivery technology, Linguet, which was acquired in August.

I firmly believe this new direction for the company is a path that will generate shareholder returns. The Linguet platform technology is a powerful tool with a very simple value proposition – it makes good drugs even better. Importantly, we have a well-defined strategy in place to extract value from this technology and we are very focused on opportunities that will enable the company to begin generating revenues by Financial Year 2014. Driving this is a team that is highly experienced in monetising life science assets, and with a depth of knowledge in the drug candidates that we are bringing to market initially.

Before we commence the formal business and then on to Dr Nick Ede to take you through a presentation of the science, I would like to spend a few moments introducing the Board and Management team. We have assembled a very high calibre team, with the ability to take this technology forward – and who will prove to be a great asset to this company.

  • Paul Hopper

  • Steve Harris

  • Steve Martin

  • Dr Nick Ede

Since the new Board and management team has come on board we have focused our efforts on developing the strategy for Linguet, and completing the review of the vaccine and animal health assets.

Linguet™: a platform technology with clear commercial opportunities

  • Linguet is targeted at those drugs that:

  • Show poor oral bioavailability (e.g. progesterone, testosterone);

  • Require rapid onset of action (e.g. analgesics, erectile dysfunction products);

  • Cause gastro-intestinal irritation (e.g. NSAIDs, bisphosphonates & statins);

  • Are degraded in the gastro-intestinal tract (GIT) and require dose compensation (e.g. hormone replacement formulations); and

==> picture [206 x 127] intentionally omitted <==

  • Are adversely affected by high first-pass metabolism in the liver and thus rely on massive over dosing in order to deliver the correct therapeutic outcome (e.g. pain relief).

==> picture [98 x 21] intentionally omitted <==

Linguet™: a targeted technology with wide applications

Linguet™ is able to be used in a wide range of therapeutic applications enabling a rich hunting ground to create world-class products that meet the commercial need. Such breadth of choice allows for a de-risked business model.
