Australian Securities Exchange Announcement

APPOINTMENT OF DR. CHERRELL HIRST AO AS CHAIRMAN

Brisbane, Australia – The Board of ImpediMed Limited (the Company) has with great pleasure today announced the appointment of Dr. Cherrell Hirst taking over from Mel Bridges as Chairman. Mel Bridges is standing down as Chairman at today’s Annual General Meeting and will remain on the Board as a Non Executive Director.

Mel Bridges, a founding Director and Chairman, has guided ImpediMed since inception in September 1999 through to what is now a global medical device company. ImpediMed looks forward to Mr Bridges continuing involvement in the positioning of the Company as a leader in its field.

Dr. Hirst is a Non‐executive Director and Deputy Chairman; and has served on the Board of Directors of ImpediMed since 24 March 2005.

Cherrell Hirst is a medical doctor and was a leading practitioner in the area of breast cancer diagnosis. Cherrell serves on the Remuneration Committee, the Audit Committee and Nomination Committee. Cherrell is also Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of QIC BioVentures and sits on other commercial Boards including MediBank Private.

ImpediMed Chairman Mel Bridges said, “As a founder of ImpediMed, this is an ideal time for me to hand over the Chairman position – the Company has ticked all the boxes I wished to achieve when we started the Company – all the FDA clearances needed to deliver on the business plan are in place, and the Company is quickly building reimbursement support in the US, and on the cusp of expanding into other markets.”

“For the next phase of ImpediMed’s growth, Dr Hirst is the logical choice to drive the growth forward in unison with the CEO Greg Brown,” Mr Bridges said.

In addition to Dr. Hirst’s distinguished clinical career in the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer, Dr. Hirst has extensive and highly respected achievements in both commercial and not‐ for‐profit organizations. Cherrell’s substantial business experience and her work with breast cancer patients give her a unique insight and empathy into the need for preemptive care for all women who are at risk for secondary lymphoedema after breast cancer treatment.”
