ASX RELEASE – COMPANY SECRETARY APPOINTMENT

Further to the announcement on 18[th] August 2009 advising the relocation of the CFO’s role to San Diego, and the resignation of CFO and Company Secretary Phil Auckland, the Chairman Mel Bridges today announced the re-appointment of Mr Stephen Denaro as Company Secretary, replacing Mr Auckland.

Mr Bridges said “Steve has previously acted as Company Secretary for ImpediMed, and works professionally as Company Secretary for a number of companies in the medical device and biotech industry. The board is very pleased to welcome Steve back to ImpediMed knowing that he will very capably fulfil the role.

With respect to the process to select a San Diego based CFO, Mr Bridges said “ We are well advanced now on short listing CFO candidates, and expect to make an appointment in October from among a pleasingly high quality pool of candidates.”
