Merger of IMMOFINANZ AG and IMMOEAST AG under evaluation

Thomas Kleibl today assumes his position as a member and spokesman of the
boards of IMMOFINANZ and IMMOEAST. Based on the overview he has gained over
the past week, he will today hold a press conference on the future
strategic focus of the IMMOFINANZ Group.

Amongst other measures, the advantages of a merger between IMMOFINANZ and
IMMOEAST will be fully evaluated with a view to implementing this measure,
should this move be determined to be in the best interests of the
respective shareholders and companies. Thomas Kleibl is of the preliminary
opinion that a merger would result in rise in value for both companies'
shareholders. Should the evaluation come out in favour of a merger, general
meetings are intended to be held in the first quarter of 2009.
