Launch of new plant to bolster Imerys' presence in India

Calderys, Imerys' Monolithic Refractories subsidiary, today inaugurated its third plant in India at Wankaner, Gujarat. This state-of-the-art plant is specially designed to meet growing market demand of Imerys' monolithic refractory products in India and in the Middle East. It will serve local and foreign customers in Steel, Cement, Power, Aluminum, Fertilizers and Petrochemical Industries.

This investment will allow Imerys Group to increase its overall presence in India which represented revenue in excess of €100 million in 2014.

Through its subsidiary Calderys, Imerys' Monolithic Refractories activity provides a comprehensive range of solutions used for building and repairing refractory linings which can withstand high temperatures and severe operating conditions in various industries and complete project management services to efficiently deliver end-toend refractory projects to its customers. Imerys' Monolithic Refractories activity is the worldwide leader in alumino-silicate monolithic refractories and is present in over 30 countries. It generated €524 million revenue in 2014.
