Major shareholder Bain Capital places 4 million shares of IMCD with institutional investors

ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands 9 September, 2015 - IMCD N.V., a leading distributor of specialty chemicals and food ingredients, today announces that is has been informed that Emma (BC) Holding S.C.A., an entity indirectly controlled by the investment funds managed by Bain Capital Investors, LLC ("Bain Capital"), the major shareholder of IMCD, has placed 4 million IMCD shares at EUR 31.00 per share with institutional investors in an accelerated bookbuilding process.

Following this transaction, Bain Capital now holds 15.6% in IMCD, increasing the free float to 84.4%. The transaction was led by Goldman Sachs International and Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch.
