Board of Directors Elect New Chair

Image Resources NL (ASX: IMA) announces the directors have elected Mr John Jones as the new Chair of the Board.

Mr Peter Thomas, the outgoing Chair, has stepped aside from the role and will continue to provide his valuable contribution and insightful guidance in his ongoing role as NonExecutive Director.

Mr Thomas has served the Board tirelessly in his position as Chair, a role which spanned more than a decade overseeing many project evaluations, management changes and financings, including the “spin out” of no less four new IPO listings from the Image asset base over that period. He has also guided the Company through the NPB pre- feasibility test work and exploration at Boonannarring to a point where the Company is on the cusp of developing an important mineral sands project. He was instrumental in a number of capital raisings which extended to his financial support of the Company during its early development years. His ability to challenge pre-conceived pathways with a high level of enthusiasm for robust debate has been of great benefit to the Company - ultimately resulting in better outcomes for the Company and its shareholders.

These attributes will not be lost as he hands the Chair to Mr Jones, a respected mining identity, who has been associated with a number of successful mining corporations in his 40 plus years in business. Mr Jones’ strong prospecting instinct, clear strategic vision and a desire for exploration, mining and corporate success has already been of benefit to the Company.

Mr Jones commented “The team has been re-built, a renewed enthusiasm to reward shareholders is evident and the mix of skills, experience and ability on the Board is now better than it has been in the history of the Company. I am looking forward to the higher level of engagement with shareholders this role will bring”.
