APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS

Image Resources NL (ASX: IMA )( Company ) is delighted to announce the appointment to the Board of two eminently qualified, relevantly experienced and seasoned directors.

The first appointee is Mr John Jones, a well known and respected mining identity, who has been associated with a number of successful mining corporations in his 30 years of business. Mr Jones has a strong prospecting instinct, clear strategic vision and a desire for exploration, mining and corporate success.

The other appointee is Mr Jeffrey Williams who has over 43 years' industry experience with 16 years' experience as a professional mining engineer in Australia and seven years in the stockbroking industry. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy with mining experience ranging from mine planning, underground management and feasibility studies through to mine development. Further information on Mr Williams’ background is attached as an annexure.

Messrs Jones and Williams, who join Messrs Thomas, O’Callaghan and Sakalidis, add to the board a diverse range of complementary skills and many years of industry experience.

The new board will strive to generate value for ALL SHAREHOLDERS. Now that shareholders have spoken in support of Messrs Thomas, O’Callaghan and Sakalidis, all shareholders are urged to get behind the strengthened board and allow it to focus on advancing the NPB Mineral Sands project as quickly as possible and for the benefit of all shareholders.

Mr Peter Thomas has been re-appointed as Chairman of the Company having recently stepped aside while the outcome of the board spill was determined.

ANNEXURE – BACKGROUND ON MR JEFF WILLIAMS

Jeff was Managing Director of Mineral Deposits for 14 years before retiring on 30 June 2011. During his time with the company, it evolved from a grassroots exploration company to developing, operating and subsequently demerging the Sabodala gold mine in Senegal, followed by ramp-up for the development of the Grande Côte Mineral Sands Project, also in Senegal.

Jeff has 16 years’ experience as a professional mining engineer in Australia and seven years in the stockbroking industry. In the mining industry, his experience ranges from mine planning, underground management and feasibility study through to mine development. From 1972 to 1984, he held various positions with CRA Limited at Broken Hill in New South Wales. At the underground silver/lead/zinc mine, he gained his Mine Manager’s Certificate and practical experience in mine planning and underground management. Following his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme in 1987, he played a major role as a Senior Project Engineer with North Limited. From 1989 to 1996, Jeff spent seven years in stockbroking specialising in gold mining research. Prior to joining MDL in 1997, he was Head of Resources Research at James Capel Australia.

Mr. Williams was appointed a non-executive director of the World Titanium Resources (WTR) in 2012 and was recently appointed CEO, where he will be responsible for bringing the WTRs world-class Toliara Mineral Sands deposit in Madagascar into production.
