MR MICHAEL NOSSAL APPOINTED NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

IGO Limited (ASX:IGO) (IGO or the Company) is pleased to announce the appointment of highly experienced mining executive Mr Michael Nossal to its board as an independent non-executive director with the expectation that he will transition into the Chair role by mid-2021. Michael’s appointment is effective 18 December 2020.

IGO’s Chairman, Mr Peter Bilbe, said the Company was delighted Michael had accepted the invitation to join the board.

“Michael is a highly regarded senior mining executive, having held board and senior executive positions in a wide range of companies and brings an impressive range of skills, capabilities and qualities. In particular, Michael brings strong strategy and business development skills, and a deep knowledge in the areas of exploration, project development and operations. His sense of purpose and personal values are very much aligned with the culture that we have built and continue to build at IGO. I welcome Michael on to the Board and look forward to working closely with him over the next six months to ensure his smooth transition into the Chair position.”

Background on Michael Nossal (BSc, MBA, FAusIMM)

Michael is a senior mining executive with almost 35 years’ experience in gold, base metals and industrial minerals in business development, exploration, project development and operations. He has held executive management and board positions at companies including Newcrest, MMG, WMC Resources, Lundin Gold, Nordgold, En+Group, UC Rusal, Normandy Mining, and others. Michael has particular experience in strategy and business development internationally and has led significant growth initiatives most recently at Newcrest and MMG.
