SENIOR LEADERSHIP CHANGES

Independence Group NL (IGO) (ASX:IGO) advises the following changes to its senior leadership team which will have effect from 1 March 2016 following a three month transition period.

Appointment of Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Rob Dennis will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer, reporting to the Managing Director, with overall accountability for the continuing development and operational readiness preparations for the Nova Project, as well as accountability for IGO’s interests in the Long, Jaguar and Tropicana operations.

Rob is a mining engineer who, until recently held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Sirius Resources and joined the IGO team on the completion of the Sirius acquisition. Rob brings a wealth of project development, operational and management expertise to the role of Chief Operating Officer of IGO and has previously held senior management roles with Western Mining, Wiluna Mines, Great Central Mines, Lionore, Aditya Birla Minerals and Poseidon Nickel.

Appointment of General Manager - Nova

Mr. Brett Hartmann will assume the role of General Manager – Nova (and Registered Manager), reporting to the Chief Operating Officer with accountability for the operational readiness activities for the Nova Project and then, from commissioning, accountability for the Nova Operation.

Brett is a mining engineer with over 15 years’ experience. Brett joined IGO in 2004 and was appointed Resident Manager of the Long Operation in 2005. Brett was promoted to the position of Group Operations Manager in 2010 and has been integral in providing leadership to IGO’s improving safety record and consistent delivery within production and cost guidance. Brett has considerable knowledge of the existing IGO businesses and of the IGO Way of doing business.

Mr. Peter Bradford, Managing Director and CEO, said, “This is a very good outcome for IGO as well as for both Rob and Brett. Rob brings significant experience across project development and operations in gold, nickel and copper, in open pit and underground, that will be invaluable for the growing business, and the appointment of Brett to the role of General Manager – Nova, significantly de-risks the management of the operational readiness and early operations phase of the Nova Project.”
