Mr Brett Hartmann

Brett H a rtmann is a qualified mining en g ineer with over 15 y e ars’ exper i ence. Br e tt joined Indepe n dence Gro u p NL via s ubsidiary c ompany, Lightning Nickel Pty Lt d , in 2004 a nd was appoint e d Resident Manager of t he Long Ni c kel Operati o n in 2005.

Brett w a s appointe d to the position of Gr o up Operations’ Manager in 2010. With Inde p endence Group’s acquisition o f the Jaguar Operation in 2011, Brett’s technica l expertise w as integral i n leading the Gro u p to successfully achie v ing record production si n ce the oper a tion’s ince p tion.

Prior to j oining Inde p endence G r oup, Brett w orked natio n ally in oper a tional and c ontractual r o les on a number of large sc a le operations. These in c lude BHP B illiton’s Cannington Min e Operation, Qld and the CS A Mine in C o bar, NSW. Brett’s exp e rience also extends to narrow vein undergrou n d mining operati o ns, having w orked at Norseman Gol d WA, and t h e Miitel nic k el operation , Kambalda W A.
