Long Nickel Mine – Registered Manager

Independence Group NL (“Independence”) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Registered Manager at the Long Nickel Mine.

Mr Gary Andrewartha assumed the Registered Manager position on 1[st] January 2011 following 12 months in the Alternate Manager’s position on the mine.

Mr Andrewartha is a Mining Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the mining industry. Mr Andrewartha has previously held the roles of Head of Mining and Underground Manager with Jubilee Mines, Operations Manager for Titan Resources, as well as various roles with St Ives Gold Mines and Central Norseman Gold Corporation.

Long’s previous Registered Manager, Mr Brett Hartmann, is relocating to Independence’s head office to assume the position of Group Operations Manager.

The board of Independence would like to thank Brett for his service on the mine and look forward to his contribution in the new role.
