CHANGE IN BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Independence Group NL ( “ IGO ” ) advises that Mr Oscar Aamodt has tendered his resignation from the Board of Directors for personal reasons.

IGO has regretfully accepted Oscar ’ s resignation which takes effect as of today ’ s date.

Oscar Aamodt said “ I wish you all success in the future and I am sure that the restructured board will move the company on to bigger and better things to the benefit of all shareholders and employees. “

The Managing Director Chris Bonwick said that “ Oscar has made an enormous contribution to the success of IGO. Oscar has been a fantastic contributor to IGO over the last six years, and has been of enormous help to me personally since taking on the role of Chairman in 2009. ”

The Directors of IGO wish to express their sincere appreciation for the work done and assistance provided by Oscar to the Board during his time with the Company.

The role of Chairman has been offered to fellow Director Mr Peter Bilbe and IGO is pleased to announce that this offer has been accepted.

Peter Bilbe is a Mining Engineer who has been a Director of IGO since March 2009 and has broad operational, corporate and board experience. Mr Bilbe also holds board positions with Northern Iron Limited, Norseman Gold plc and Sihayo Gold Limited.

The Board of IGO congratulates Mr Bilbe on his appointment as Chairman of the Company.
