Appointment of Chairman Designate

IG Group Holdings Plc (the "Company", "IG" or "IG Group"), a global leader in online trading, today announces that Andy Green will join the IG Board as Deputy Chairman with immediate effect and will succeed Jonathan Davie as Chairman when, as previously announced, he steps down at the AGM on 16 October 2014.  Andy was Group Chief Executive of Logica Plc until its acquisition in 2012 and is currently a non-executive director of ARM Holdings Plc.

Andy has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds.  He served as Group Chief Executive of Logica Plc from 2008 until 2012, when it was acquired by CGI.  Prior to this he was a member of the Board of BT Group Plc, where he held several senior roles, most latterly CEO of Group Strategy and Operations.  Andy holds a number of other roles including chairing npGroup UK and DockOn AG. He advises the UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) as co-chairman of the Space Leadership Council and a member of the Information Economy Council.
