Appointment of new director

IG Group Holdings plc ("the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Tymms as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 22 May 2013.

Sam Tymms is currently a managing director at Promontory Financial Group, a leading strategy, risk management and regulatory compliance consulting firm. She is also a seasoned regulator with experience in enforcement and supervision. Sam spent 20 years with the UK Financial Services Authority and its predecessor agencies where she oversaw investment firms, retail banks, investment banks and insurance groups.

Jonathan Davie, Chairman of the Company, commenting on Sam's appointment, said "I am delighted to welcome Sam Tymms to the board of IG. Sam's extensive experience will assist us greatly in continuing to effectively manage the Group's regulatory and risk profile and in the further development of our business."
