Notice about change in Directors

This is to inform that the Board of Directors, at its meeting held on February 25, 2019 appointed Shri Hemant Bhargava as the Non Executive Non Wholetime Chairman of IDBI Bank Ltd. for a period of three years or till he continues as the Chairman-in-charge & MD of LIC, whichever is earlier as per the approval dated February 22, 2019 received in this regard from Reserve Bank of India.

The Brief Profile of Shri Hemant Bhargava is as under

Shri Hemant Bhargava, a Post Graduate in Economics is presently MD and Chairman-in-charge of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). He has wide range of experience in LIC in various positions from Senior Branch Manager to Executive Director, Chief Manager in Mauritius, Executive Director heading International Operations, Micro Insurance and CEO in LIC Cards Services Ltd. As CEO in LIC Cards Services Ltd., he set up the new joint venture in collaboration with other industry domain leaders for LIC Card Services. As ED Micro Insurance, he designed and set up a totally separate Micro Insurance vertical which was LIC' s major and most important initiative in financial inclusion space. As ED International Operations, he set up the newly formed Strategic Business Unit for International Operations in about 11 countries. His areas of expertise include Strategic Plan g and leadership, Change Management, Performance Management, Process Redesign, Market Strategy, Mentoring, Analytical decision making and Developing Promotional Strategies.

Shri Hemant Bhargava is not related to any other Director on the Board or KMP of IDBI Bank.
