Arnarlax takes over the Ísþór smolt facility

Increased smolt size, shorter time in sea & better MAB license utilization

Icelandic Salmon´s fully owned subsidiary, Arnarlax, has signed a Share Purchase Agreement for the remaining 50% of shares in Eldisstöðin Ísþór smolt facility in Þorlákshöfn. The transaction will be subject to approval from Icelandic Competition Authorities (ICA). If approved by ICA, Arnarlax will be the sole owner of Eldisstöðin Ísþór hf.

With this Arnarlax takes another important step in the strategy of increased smolt weight, allowing increased MAB license utilization while reducing production time in sea and thereby biological risk. Further information will be given in Q2 2022 presentation in August.
