WELL UPDATE
Triple Energy Limited (ASX: TNP, Triple , or Company ) is pleased to provide the following update on the well spudded last week at the Company’s CMM project in Heilongjiang Province in China.
As of 6 am local time on 18 June 2013, the well had been drilled to a depth of 88m with the first casing set at 20 meters as planned and was drilling ahead.
The first casing is per the well design to contain the upper part of the well and secure the blow-out-preventer and well head.
The next casing point will be set at around 300 meters.
The well is designed to collect data to determine the gas flow rates of the multiple stacked coal seams in the location of the well.
The well is targeting coal seams that have been mapped on well bore-hole data acquired by our partner in the Joint Venture, Longmay Coal Mining Company, one of China’s largest coal mining companies.
The well plan includes wireline and mud logging data to be acquired along with three drill stem tests (“DSTs”). These data are expected to enable the Joint Venture to establish the gas flow characteristics of the coal seam reservoirs.
