Reference is made to Company Announcements HSBC440 and HSBC441, both issued on 11 September 2024 by HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c. ('HSBC Malta'), regarding a strategic review by HSBC Holdings plc of its indirect 70.03% shareholding in HSBC Malta.

Having made further enquiries, HSBC Malta has been informed by the majority shareholder that the review process is at an early stage, will consider a range of options and no decisions have yet been made.

HSBC Malta remains focused on running its business and will provide further updates as required.
