(the 'bank') announces that further to Company Announcement HSBC416 published on 28 March 2023 relating to the appointment of the bank's Chief Operating Officer, regulatory approval has now been obtained for the appointment of Ms Svetlana Maslova as the bank's Chief Operating Officer.

Ms Maslova's appointment is effective from 1 July 2023.
