Pursuant to today's announcement made by European Central Bank (ECB) on results of comprehensive assessment carried out on a sample consisting of four largest banks in Croatia and Hrvatska poštanska banka, p.l.c. (hereinafter: HPB), HPB informs the investment community about the results relating to HPB's performance.

This assessment was comprised of Asset quality review (AQR), with simultaneous stress test. HPB has successfully met the threshold criteria in both exercises.

As a required regulatory prerequisite for establishing close cooperation between Croatian National Bank and ECB, ECB was granted authorization to carry out the above mentioned comprehensive assessment of Croatian credit institutions. This consisted of inspection of all documentation and information about the credit institutions. Establishing close ooperation is one of key steps in the process of Croatian EMU accession, and the analysis that was performed is of extreme importance to achieve this strategic objective of Republic of Croatia.

AQR results were analysed combined with stress test results, and it is concluded that Hrvatska poštanska banka has successfully underwent all procedures, with HPB's meeting each threshold criteria.

This proved to be an additional confirmation of HPB's balance sheet and operations' quality and resilience. Furthermore, this gives us incentive as well as responsibility to ensure necessary conditions and to follow the path on which HPB will accomplish its strategic goals.
