Mr Witts' shares were sold at a price of GBP 5.1050 per share and therefore the aggregate total was GBP 1,021,000.

Notification and public disclosure of transactions by persons discharging managerial responsibilities

The Company has today been notified that Andrew Witts, a director of Howden Joinery Ltd and a person discharging managerial responsibility within the Company, sold a total of 200,000 ordinary shares in the Company on 9 May 2018 through the London Stock Exchange. Mr Witts' shares were sold at a price of 510.50p per share.

Following the transaction, Mr Witts' total holding of shares in the Company (including shares in his wife's name) is 845,665 ordinary shares (c. 0.14% of the issued share capital, exclusive of treasury shares).
