Notification of transaction in shares by Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities

The Company was notified on 22 August 2014 that on 21 August Jayne Hallett (the wife of David Hallett, a director of Howden Joinery Ltd and a person discharging managerial responsibility within the Company) sold 30,000 shares at a price of 348.3 pence per share.

Following the sale, the total holding of David Hallett (including shares in his wife's name) is 840,968 shares (0.13% of the Company's share capital).
