Notification of transaction in shares by Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities

The Company has been notified that today, Mr David Hallett transferred 350,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each listed against his name to his wife, Mrs Jayne Hallett, for nil consideration.

Following the transaction, Mr Hallett's total holding of shares in Howden Joinery Group Plc (including shares in his wife's name) remained unchanged at 990,968 ordinary shares (c. 0.15% of the issued share capital).
