NOTIFICATION OF BOARD CHANGES AND DIRECTOR'S DETAILS

Non-Executive Director Retirement

Howdens today announces that Debbie White, independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, has informed the Board of her intention to retire from her directorship on 30 December 2023. This follows the announcement that Debbie will be appointed to the board of the Co-operative Group (the "Co-op") as an Independent Non-Executive Director in August 2023 and in February 2024 will be appointed Chair of the Co-op board.

The Board has engaged Russell Reynolds to undertake a search process to find Debbie's successor.

Senior Independent Director

Howdens further announces that Andrew Cripps, who has been an independent Non-Executive Director of Howdens since December 2015 and Chair of Howdens' Audit Committee since May 2016, has today taken on the role of Senior Independent Director in addition to his responsibilities as Audit Committee Chair.
