HORNBY APPOINTS NEW FINANCE DIRECTOR

The Board of Directors of Hornby PLC is pleased to announce that Nick Stone will join the company on 14 January 2013 as its new Finance Director (Designate).  

Nick (49) was previously the Operations and Finance Director at quoted international software and consultancy group KBC Advanced Technologies PLC. He worked at KBC for eleven years, having joined in 2001 as Finance Director. 

Earlier in his career, Nick was interim Finance Director at Accidentcare Group PLC, Finance Director at Lambert Fenchurch Limited and held positions at Mobil Oil Corporation. He has a degree in Mathematics and Economics from Bristol University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Andrew Morris, the current Finance Director, will leave Hornby during the first quarter of 2013 following an agreed handover period. Andrew joined the Board of Hornby in 2007 and is leaving to take up a position as Chief Executive of a privately owned pharmaceutical business, where he has been a Non-Executive Director since 1998. 

Commenting on Nick Stone's appointment, Frank Martin, Hornby Chief Executive, said:
