Hornbach Baumarkt raises guidance for fiscal year 2021/22

**Bornheim (Palatinate), December 7, 2021

Based on preliminary figures for the third quarter 2021/22 that exceeded expectations, the Management of Hornbach Baumarkt AG (ISIN DE0006084403) lifted the net sales and earnings forecast for the fiscal year 2021/22 today. Nevertheless, in view of the unpredictability of the further course of the Corona pandemic and the risks with regard to sales restrictions, there are still considerable uncertainties in the assessment of the Group’s business performance for the remainder of the fiscal year.**

The Management expects net sales and Group operating profit adjusted for non-operating earnings effects (adjusted EBIT) to be in the following ranges:

Adjusted EBIT	€ 280m – € 330m	€ 240m – € 278m (upper third)
