Item 8.01: Other Events

On September 29, 2025 , Horace Mann Educators Corporation issued a notice of redemption for all of its outstanding 4.500% Senior Notes due 2025 (the “Notes”). The redemption is expected to occur on October 14, 2025 (the “Redemption Date”). The Notes are redeemable at a redemption price that is equal to the sum of 100% of the principal amount of the Notes being redeemed plus accrued and unpaid interest thereon to, but not including, the Redemption Date. This Form 8-K does not constitute a notice of redemption for the Notes.
