• CAU APPOINTS DR DEBORAH COOPER AS GENERAL MANAGER

The Board of Directors of CollTech Australia Limited today announced the appointment[1] of Dr. Deborah Cooper as the company’s General Manager and the resignation[1] of Mr Michael Pixley as the company’s CEO.

Dr Cooper remarked, ”I am delighted to be given this opportunity of leading CollTech into its next phase of growth. With a solid year of sales visits and market development in 2007, I am confident that 2008 will bring CollTech the rewards we have all been working toward”.

“I am committed to CollTech becoming a leading global supplier of high quality collagen, establishing strategic alliances to develop and commercialise collagen-based cosmetic and medical products that advance healthcare and build shareholder value”, Dr. Cooper remarked.

Dr Cooper has been the company’s Acting General Manager since January this year and has been performing the role of the company’s Chief Scientific Officer since November 2005.

The Board would sincerely like to thank Mr Pixley for his substantive effort and commitment since 2003 in guiding the development of CollTech Australia into a globally focused, world-class producer of the world’s only supply of sheep sourced collagen. Mr Michael Pixley will continue to be involved as a Director of the company and fully endorses the appointment of Dr. Cooper to the role of General Manager.

The Board and Dr. Cooper are confident of CollTech continuing to achieve its R&D milestones toward producing a medical grade collagen in 2008 that will enter the highly the lucrative collagen based Biomaterials markets and of growing the company’s emerging sales in the cosmetics and toiletries industry.

ABOUT DR. COOPER

Dr Cooper has more than fifteen years R&D experience in biotech and academia, including clinical manufacturing affairs and Quality Assurance. She has previously worked for tissue engineering companies such as Clinical Cell Culture (C3) and Verigen Australia (Genzyme subsidiary). Dr Cooper holds a Bachelor of Science awarded with Honours from London University, a Master of Science in Immunology from Birmingham University and a PhD in cellular immunology from Cambridge University.
