Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On October 20, 2017, HNI Corporation announced Stan A. Askren, its Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, would assume the additional responsibilities of President of The HON Company LLC ("HON"), effective November 6, 2017. Jerald K. Dittmer, the current Executive Vice President, HNI Corporation and President, HON, has accepted the role of Senior Vice President of Strategic Development, HNI Corporation, also effective November 6, 2017.
