HMS Networks in Halmstad has today received an order for approx. 1 Million SEK for Anybus Gateways to connect to 100 industrial robots in a new car manufacturing line.
The order is for one of the leading robot manufacturers and will be delivered in full in quarter 1, 2008. The Anybus Gateway products works as a translator and will be used to connect the robot network to an existing network system in a car manufacturing factory.
HMS has two product categories: Embedded Products are network cards that are built-in to automation products and Gateways are used to translate between different networks in an automation system. Both product lines are based on HMS Anybus technology which consists of an own network chip and advanced software for different communication protocols.
