Setting up of Manufacturing Science & Technology Division (MSAT) and appointment of Vice President – MSAT

Hester India has set up the MSAT division to focus on implementing innovation and best practices & solutions for vaccine manufacturing.

This division would be a lever towards achieving long-term and short-term organizational goals through excellence in Production & Quality System.

MSAT Division would work in collaboration with R&D, Production and Quality teams at Ahmedabad, Nepal and at the upcoming Tanzania site.

Dr. Shankar Chinchkar has been appointed as Vice President – MSAT, at Hester Biosciences India, with immediate effect.

Dr Shankar has over 20 years of experience in vaccine industry, having worked on Veterinary and Human vaccine Production and Process Development. He is a qualified Veterinary Microbiologist with a Master’s Degree in Veterinary Microbiology and Ph.D. in Biotechnology. He has also done his Executive MBA in Operation Management.

MSAT division would also contribute towards Hester’s endeavor to introduce newer vaccines as well as improve the bottom line.

Currently, Hester plays an active role towards the Government of India’s immunization programs against Brucellosis in Cattle and against PPR in Sheep and Goat.
