Herambiente acquisisce la società Recycla

Il Gruppo Hera consolida la propria leadership nel trattamento rifiuti industriali ed estende il proprio perimetro nel nord Italia con l'acquisizione della società friulana. Grazie a due ulteriori operazioni con esecuzione prevista entro l'estate, si stima un contributo consolidato al margine operativo lordo della multiutility per circa 20 milioni di euro a operazioni concluse.

Il Gruppo Hera con la controllata Herambiente, primo operatore in Italia nel trattamento e recupero dei rifiuti, ha acquisito il 70% di Recycla, società friulana che gestisce tre piattaforme per rifiuti industriali solidi e liquidi con sede principale a Maniago (PN).

L'operazione consentirà a Herambiente di confermarsi operatore di riferimento sul territorio e di fornire anche ai nuovi clienti le proprie soluzioni a 360° nel trattamento rifiuti. Attraverso la sua società Hasi (Herambiente Servizi Industriali), la più grande realtà italiana dedicata alla gestione dei rifiuti industriali, Herambiente consolida e amplia così la propria dotazione impiantistica dedicata alle imprese, con 15 siti polifunzionali dedicati al trattamento dei rifiuti prodotti dalle aziende e 1,2 milioni di tonnellate di rifiuti industriali trattati ogni anno. Previste importanti sinergie con i propri poli industriali in provincia di Pisa e a Ravenna, già da tempo operativi.

In particolare, la piattaforma per rifiuti industriali solidi e liquidi a Maniago gestisce oltre 40.000 tonnellate all'anno di scarti prodotti dalle aziende. In linea con i principi dell'economia circolare, questi rifiuti vengono pretrattati per ottimizzarne le caratteristiche e destinarli principalmente al recupero energetico o al trattamento chimico fisico: in questo modo solo il 3% dei rifiuti che entrano nella piattaforma viene smaltito in discarica.

Questa operazione, che segue le acquisizioni già concluse negli anni scorsi (dalle toscane Waste Recycling, Teseco e Pistoia Ambiente, alle trevigiane Geo Nova e Aliplast), rappresenta un nuovo step nel percorso di continua crescita di Herambiente nel settore del trattamento dei rifiuti industriali. Un percorso che si rafforzerà ulteriormente grazie a due accordi già firmati con società operanti nelle Marche e in Veneto, inerenti allo stesso segmento industriale, il cui completamento sarà portato a termine entro l'estate. A regime, grazie a queste tre operazioni saranno trattate ogni anno ulteriori 350.000 tonnellate di rifiuti industriali prodotte da 3.300 nuovi clienti, con un apporto aggiuntivo sul margine operativo lordo del Gruppo Hera pari a circa 20 milioni di euro a operazioni concluse.

La priorità strategica di Herambiente, che può contare complessivamente su una novantina di impianti di proprietà certificati e all'avanguardia in grado di coniugare efficienza, competitività nei costi e sostenibilità, è fornire alle aziende soluzioni di trattamento rifiuti in chiave di economia circolare. Le nuove acquisizioni, pertanto, sono in linea con questo orientamento strategico e garantiranno ritorni positivi sui territori serviti e benefici economici per i clienti.

Tutte queste operazioni, infine, hanno in comune un razionale che fa parte del dna di Herambiente Servizi Industriali: la vicinanza ai propri clienti. Herambiente acquires the company Recycla

The Hera Group has consolidated its leadership in industrial waste treatment and extended its scope of operations in northern Italy thanks to the acquisition of this Friulibased company. Including the two further transactions to be completed within the summer, the final consolidated contribution to Hera's Ebitda is estimated at approximately 20 million euro.

The Hera Group, through its subsidiary Herambiente, Italy's leading operator in waste treatment and recovery, has acquired 70% of Recycla, a Friuli-based company that manages three platforms for solid and liquid industrial waste, whose central offices are in Maniago (PN).

This transaction will confirm Herambiente's position as a key operator in the sector and allow it to offer its across-the-board waste treatment solutions to new customers. Through its company Hasi (Herambiente Servizi Industriali), Italy's largest industrial waste management company, Herambiente has thus consolidated and expanded its facilities serving businesses, with 15 multifunctional sites dedicated to the treatment of waste produced by companies and 1.2 million tonnes of industrial waste treated each year. Important synergies are expected with its industrial centres in Pisa Province and at Ravenna, which have already been operational for some time.

More specifically, the Maniago platform for solid and liquid industrial waste handles over 40,000 tonnes per year of waste produced by companies. In line with the principles of the circular economy, this waste is pre-treated to optimise its characteristics and is mainly destined for energy recovery or chemical-physical treatment. Therefore, only 3% of the waste entering the platform is disposed of in landfills.

This transaction, which follows the acquisitions completed in recent years (from Waste Recycling, Teseco and Pistoia Ambiente in Tuscany and Geo Nova and Aliplast in Treviso), is a new step in Herambiente's continuous growth in the industrial waste treatment sector. This development will be further strengthened by two agreements already signed with companies operating in the Marche and Veneto regions in the same industrial sector, which will be finalised within the summer. When fully operational, thanks to these three transactions, an additional 350,000 tonnes of industrial waste produced by 3,300 new customers will be treated each year, and the contribution to the Hera Group's Ebitda will come to approximately 20 million euro when the transactions are finalised.

The strategic priority of Herambiente, which can count on a total of roughly 90 certified, state-of-the-art plants that combine efficiency, cost competitiveness and sustainability, is to offer companies waste treatment solutions in line with the circular economy. The new acquisitions, therefore, respect this strategic orientation and will guarantee positive returns in the areas served and economic benefits for customers.

Lastly, all these transactions share a rationale that is part of Herambiente Servizi Industriali's DNA: remaining close to its customers. Integrating these new platforms with the current set of plants will increase the wide availability of solutions in areas served for years by Herambiente, improving the efficiency and quality of services for local businesses.
