Dichiarazione del Presidente Esecutivo Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano

Il Presidente Esecutivo del Gruppo Hera, Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano, dopo oltre vent'anni alla guida dell'azienda, ritiene concluso il proprio mandato che giungerà alla scadenza naturale il 27 aprile 2023, giorno in cui è convocata l'Assemblea dei Soci.

"Sono orgoglioso per aver contribuito alla storia del Gruppo Hera – dichiara il Presidente Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano – e, insieme a un management di alto livello, di aver coniugato crescita aziendale e sviluppo sostenibile in una formula unica nel panorama nazionale. Abbiamo realizzato un modello innovativo e anticipatore dei tempi, con l'obiettivo di creare crescente valore per i nostri stakeholder e rendere i territori in cui operiamo sempre più competitivi. Faccio pertanto il mio migliore in bocca al lupo a Cristian Fabbri in vista del prossimo importante incarico che andrà a ricoprire dopo l'Assemblea del 27 aprile. Si tratta di un riconoscimento per il grande lavoro che, già dal 2006, svolge all'interno del Gruppo Hera e sono certo che continuerà a contribuire allo sviluppo dell'azienda e saprà trasformare anche le sfide future in opportunità."

Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano è Presidente del Gruppo da novembre 2002 e, nel giugno 2003, ne ha gestito la quotazione in Borsa. La sua guida è stata fondamentale per rendere concreta la visione lungimirante dei soci pubblici fondatori del Gruppo Hera e ha contribuito, con il suo know how e le sue indiscusse doti manageriali, ad accompagnare l'azienda lungo un percorso di sviluppo e successi che l'hanno resa tra le più importanti multiutility del panorama nazionale, con una consolidata posizione di leadership nei settori presidiati. Un percorso di crescita ininterrotta coronato nel 2019 dall'ingresso nel FTSE MIB tra i 40 maggiori titoli di Piazza Affari e, dal 2020, nel prestigioso indice internazionale Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Impegnata da oltre vent'anni a creare valore per tutti gli stakeholder, anche grazie a una governance solida, l'azienda si è confermata nel tempo come un riferimento per i territori serviti e un operatore sistemico su cui fare affidamento.

A dimostrazione della crescita costante basti ricordare che, dal 2002 ad oggi, i lavoratori del Gruppo sono più che raddoppiati (da 4.200 a oltre 9.300 dipendenti), così come i cittadini serviti (da 2 milioni a più di 4,2 milioni), mentre il margine operativo lordo è sestuplicato, passando da 192 milioni di euro a quasi 1,3 miliardi di euro. In vent'anni i significativi investimenti realizzati, per circa 8 miliardi di euro complessivi, e le oltre 50 fusioni e acquisizioni concluse hanno consentito di ottenere sinergie importanti e determinato l'ampliamento del perimetro aziendale, crescenti ricadute economiche sui territori serviti e la creazione di valore per tutti gli stakeholder, a partire da dipendenti, clienti, fornitori, oltre che per gli azionisti a cui sono stati distribuiti nel tempo dividendi per oltre 2 miliardi di euro.

Statement from Executive Chairman Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano

The Executive Chairman of the Hera Group, Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano, after more than twenty years at the head of the company, believes that he has fulfilled his mandate, which expires on 27 April 2023, the date on which the Shareholders Meeting has been called.

"I am proud to have contributed to the history of the Hera Group", states Chairman Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano, "and, working with a top-class management team, to have combined corporate growth with sustainable development. We have created an innovative model that remains ahead of its time, aimed at creating ever more value for our stakeholders and making the areas served increasingly competitive. I therefore wish Cristian Fabbri the best of luck with the important position he will soon cover, after the Shareholders Meeting held on 27 April. It provides recognition for the excellent work he has been doing within the Hera Group since 2006, and I am certain that he will continue to contribute to the company's development and will also be able to turn future challenges into opportunities".

Tomaso Tommasi di Vignano has been Chairman of the Group since November 2002, and oversaw its initial public offering in June 2003. His guidance has been fundamental in realising the far-sighted vision of the Hera Group's founding public shareholders, and with his know-how and undisputable management skills, he has helped to guide the company along a path of development and success that has made it one of the most important multi-utility companies nationwide, consolidating its leadership in the sectors in which it operates. This path of uninterrupted growth was crowned in 2019, when Hera was included in the FTSE MIB among the 40 largest companies on the Italian stock exchange, and in 2020, when it was included in the prestigious international Dow Jones Sustainability Index. For more than twenty years, the Group has been committed to creating value for all stakeholders and, thanks to its solid corporate governance, it has confirmed itself over time as a reference point for the areas served and a highly reliable systemic operator.

As evidence of its steady growth, it is worth recalling that since 2002 the Group's workforce has more than doubled (from 4,200 to over 9,300 employees), as has the number of citizens served (from 2 million to over 4.2 million) and EBITDA has increased six-fold, from 192 million to almost 1.3 billion euro. In twenty years, the significant investments made, totalling approximately 8 billion euro, and the more than 50 mergers and acquisitions carried out, have enabled the company to achieve significant synergies and expand its scope of activity. This has produced a growing economic impact on the areas served and has created value for all stakeholders, from employees, customers and suppliers to the Group's shareholders, who have received dividends totalling more than 2 billion euro over the years.
