Appointment of new non-executive directors

As detailed in the half-year announcement released on 27 January 2021, the Board of The Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc has appointed two non-executive directors, Michael Warren and Kevin Carter, with effect from 1 March 2021 and 1 May 2021 respectively.  

Both have had distinguished careers in the asset management industry. Michael in particular has expertise in the areas of sales and marketing whilst Kevin is a former CEO of Old Mutual Asset Managers with a background in asset management consulting and a wealth of experience as a non-executive director of investment trusts. 

Michael is a director of Fidelity Asian Values PLC. Kevin is Chairman of the Board of JPMorgan American Trust plc and Chairman of the Board of Murray International Investment Trust plc until he retires as director of the latter in April 2021. Kevin was previously a director of Lowland Investment Company plc until June 2019.

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules, there are further no details to be disclosed in relation to either Michael or Kevin.
