HELMA Eigenheimbau AG achieves record new order inflow of EUR 83.3 million
(+21%) in 2009 financial year

Lehrte, January 11, 2010 - The HELMA Group sold a total of 496 homes in the
2009 financial year (2008:424), thereby achieving the highest intake of new
orders in its company history. The average net sales price amounted to TEUR
168 (2008: TEUR 163), resulting in a marked increase of 21% in net new
orders to EUR 83.3 million (2008: EUR 69.0 million). In contributing to
last year's gratifying sales results all four sales regions reported
double-digit growth rates.

The Management Board of HELMA Eigenheimbau AG anticipates that the positive
sales trends achieved in recent years will continue in the 2010 financial
year. The presence that the group has established across the whole of
Germany, its well-founded market position, and extensive know-how in the
area of energy-efficient construction methods, create a very solid basis
for such trends. The expansion of the high-margin property development
business will also open up additional attractive growth potentials.

The sales figures for the 2009 financial year presented above already
include all cancellations received up until the day preceding the
publication of this announcement. The previous year's figures are based on
the same reporting date to allow optimal comparability.
