HELMA Eigenheimbau AG reports significant sales growth in first quarter of
2009

Lehrte, April 8, 2009 - Despite the difficult economic environment, the
HELMA Group has seamlessly continued the positive sales trend of the final
quarter of 2008 in the first quarter of 2009. The net order intake in the
first three months of the current financial year amounted to EUR 20.5
million (Q1 2008: EUR 14.7 million). This represents an increase of around
40 percent compared with a somewhat weak first quarter of 2008. The number
of units sold compared with the same quarter of the previous year was up
from 91 to 124, with high growth rates being achieved particularly in
Baden-Württemberg, Saxony and Lower Saxony. The average net sales price was
around TEUR 165 (Q1 2008: TEUR 161).

Since the HELMA Group had already made a start to the 2009 financial year
with a comfortable order backlog of EUR 53.8 million, the Management Board
of HELMA Eigenheimbau AG regards the recently issued revenue forecast of at
least EUR 60.0 million as further confirmed by the pleasingly high order
intake in the first quarter of 2009.

include all cancellations received up until the day preceding the

the same reporting date to allow optimal comparability.
