Response to

Hellenic Capital Market Commission letter

Athens, October 23, 2019 - Hellenic Telecommunications Organization S.A. ("OTE S.A." or the "Company"), in response to the Hellenic Capital Market Commission relevant request for clarification dated 22-10-2019, announces the following:

1)  Regarding recent press reports about a potential acquisition or participation of the Company or any of its subsidiaries in the share capital of Intralot S.A. and / or Intrasoft S.A, we note that there is no intention, discussion, or decision in this direction.

2)  Regarding recent press reports on the cooperation between the Company and Intralot in the area of online betting services, we note that OTE Group intends to operate in this field. To this direction, the Ordinary General Shareholders Meeting of 12 June 2018 approved the amendment of the Company's Articles of Incorporation regarding the Object of the Company, already announced to the investors' community. To this end, the Board of Directors of the Company has approved the formation of a new entity with Intralot, which will be majority-controlled by OTE and will apply for an online betting license. However, a final decision regarding OTE's entry into this area of operation is contingent upon the definitive provisions of the regulatory framework, recently submitted to the Greek Parliament.

3)  In conformity with all applicable legislation and regulation, the Company will make all necessary announcements to the investor community if and when relevant.
