SUBJECT: Proxy to Mr. David Bonanno for exercise of voting rights of THIRD POINT HELLENIC RECOVERY FUND L.P.

Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd announces, pursuant to the Transparency Requirements Law 2007, that THIRD POINT HELLENIC RECOVERY FUND L.P. and Mr. David Bonanno on May 3, 2017 informed the issuer that during the Annual General Meeting of Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd on May 24, 2017, Mr. David Bonanno may exercise at his sole discretion 51.991.639 voting rights that correspond to 26,2% of the share capital of the issuer, under the proxy granted by THIRD POINT HELLENIC RECOVERY FUND L.P.

After the end of the Annual General Meeting, Mr. David Bonanno will cease to hold voting rights and will hold voting rights below the threshold of 5% in the share capital of the issuer
