SUBJECT: Proxy to Mr. Libor Krkoska and Mr. Dimitrios Antoniou for exercise of voting rights of EUROPEAN BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT

Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd announces, pursuant to the Transparency Requirements Law 2007, that EUROPEAN BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT, Mr. Libor Krkoska and Mr. Dimitrios Antoniou on May 23, 2016 informed the issuer that during the Annual General Meeting of Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd on May 25 2016, Mr. Libor Krkoska, or in his absence Mr. Dimitrios may exercise at his sole discretion 10.666.666 voting rights that Antoniou. correspond to 5.38% of the share capital of the issuer, under the proxy granted by EUROPEAN BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT.

After the end of the Annual General Meeting, Mr. Libor Krkoska and Mr. Dimitrios Antoniou will cease to hold voting rights and will hold voting rights below the threshold of 5% in the share capital of the issuer.
