Board and Management Changes to Accelerate Progress of Collerina Copper Project

Helix Resources Limited (ASX:HLX) ( Helix or the Company ) advises of Board and management changes undertaken today to accelerate progress on its 100%-owned Collerina Copper Project in central New South Wales, Australia.

Consistent with recent strategic planning, and following completion of the Phase 1 RC drilling program around the Central Zone at Collerina (assays pending), Helix Managing Director, Mr Mick Wilson, has moved to the role of General Manager, Geology. In-line with this transition, Mick has stepped down from the position of Managing Director and CEO, and from the Helix Board, with effect today. Mr Peter Lester has assumed the position of Executive Chairman. His remuneration will remain unchanged from that of Non-Executive Chairman.

The role of General Manager, Geology, will be focussed on rapidly advancing exploration of the Collerina Copper Project in order to allow preliminary mining assessments to begin later in 2020. It also encompasses progressing other key assets within Helix’s broader Cobar region portfolio, including the Cobar Gold Project (where a number of advancement options are currently under review).

The search for a new Managing Director will be progressed in parallel with completion of the current Collerina exploration program. This individual will be tasked with taking Helix forward strategically and operationally, as well as further enhancing its broader industry and equity market interactions.

This led to Helix being recognised as the inaugural NSW Minerals Council Explorer of the Year in 2016.”
