Appointment of Acting Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Primary Health Care Limited (“Primary”) announced today that Mr Peter Gregg will step down as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (“MD & CEO”) and Mr Malcolm Ashcroft, currently the Chief Financial Officer, will be appointed Acting CEO, effective immediately.

Mr Ashcroft will undertake the role of Acting CEO until Dr Malcolm Parmenter commences as MD & CEO on 6 September 2017 (refer 2 May 2017 ASX announcement). For the term of this appointment, Mr Ashcroft's base salary and incentive arrangements will be equivalent to the current CEO level on a pro rata basis with other employment terms and conditions remaining the same.

Mr Rob Ferguson, Chairman of Primary, thanked Mr Gregg for his leadership, stating: “Peter has successfully led Primary through a significant transition period, strengthened the Company’s balance sheet and developed a strategy for diversification, growth and sustainability in the future. This year, in difficult circumstances, Peter has continued to bring his usual passionate and dedicated approach to his duties and acted in the Company’s and shareholders’ best interests. The Board thanks him for his endeavours and wishes him well.

“We are looking forward to the commencement of Dr Parmenter in September whom we believe is ideally placed to lead the Company through the next stage of its evolution. In the meantime, the Board has every confidence that Malcolm Ashcroft will continue to deliver on the strategy, investing in our core activities and diversifying our revenue streams. In this way we will support healthcare practitioners and staff in delivering quality care to those people who visit our clinics, laboratories and imaging centres,” Mr Ferguson concluded.
