APPOINTMENT OF PATHOLOGY CEO

Primary Health Care Limited (“Primary”) today announced the appointment of Wesley Lawrence to the role of Chief Executive, Pathology, following a three month external and internal executive search. Wesley will report to Peter Gregg, Primary’s Managing Director and CEO.

Mr Gregg stated: “I am delighted to welcome Wes into the role of Chief Executive, Pathology. He has a wealth of operational expertise and a deep knowledge of the regulatory landscape, having been CEO of Laverty Pathology in New South Wales since 2014 and having held a variety of roles within QML Pathology in Queensland for 22 years prior to that.

“At Primary, we operate one of the leading pathology businesses in Australia where we analyse one in three pathology samples and earn nearly $1 billion in revenue each year. We continue to drive efficiencies and to invest for growth including expanding our specialist pathology capabilities and exploring opportunities in South East Asia. Wes will work with the state chief executives and our cohort of dedicated pathologists to deliver on our strategic initiatives,” Mr Gregg concluded.

BIOGRAPHY

Wesley Lawrence has 24 years’ experience in Primary’s pathology operations, in Queensland and New South Wales, where he has worked in key roles such as branch and area manager, regional operations manager, business development and CEO. Prior to Primary, Wesley worked at a private laboratory in Queensland. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Queensland University of Technology and is a director of Pathology Awareness Australia, a not‐for‐profit pathology group representing 95% of the Australian pathology landscape.
