PRIMARY ANNOUNCES REORGANISATION OF PATHOLOGY AND IMAGING

Primary Health Care Limited (Primary) today announced the reorganisation of Pathology and Diagnostic Imaging into separate divisions, reporting directly to the CEO. James Bateman continues as General Manager, Pathology and Dean Lewsam assumes the role of General Manager, Imaging.

Primary Managing Director, Mr Peter Gregg, said: "The reorganisation enables James Bateman to focus on the opportunities that exist in our Pathology business, including expanding our offerings in non‐routine specialties, such as IVF and genetics, and exporting our expertise into the populous countries of South‐East and North Asia.

“I am delighted to welcome Dean into the role of General Manager, Imaging. He has a wealth of operational expertise, having been the General Manager of our Healthcare Imaging Services in Victoria since 2009. Dean will work with the state managers and our radiologists to deliver the strategic initiatives we have planned for Diagnostic Imaging.” Mr Gregg concluded.

Biography

Dean Lewsam is a biomedical scientist with 30 years’ experience in the healthcare industry including general management and national management roles for Healthcare Imaging Services (Primary’s imaging operations) in Victoria, National Medical & Imaging Group, Mayne Group and The Gribbles Group. He has also successfully run his own medical consultancy practice for five years. He is a graduate of the New South Wales Institute of Technology and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
