Carpentaria Exploration Limited – Requisitioned General Meeting

Carpentaria Exploration Limited ( CAP ) advises that it has received a notice to requisition a general meeting of shareholders of CAP from Silvergate Capital Pty Ltd ACN 158 538 580 as trustee for the Silvergate Capital Unit Trust ( Silvergate ) on 12 February 2013.

Silvergate is a shareholder with at least 5% of the votes that maybe cast at a general meeting and may requisition such a meeting pursuant to section 249D of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

Silvergate intends to move resolutions relating to:

1. the appointment of Mr Wilson Cheung and Mr Eric Walsh as directors of CAP;

2. the removal of Mr Stuart Nicholas Sheard and Mr Robert William Hair as directors of CAP;

3. the removal of Dr Neil Williams as director of CAP (subject to the appointment of at least Mr Cheung or Mr Walsh as a director); and

4. the removal of Mr Paul Cholakos as director of CAP (subject to the appointment of both Mr Cheung and Mr Walsh as directors);

Silvergate has given notice that it intends to provide a member's statement to CAP to distribute to shareholders relating to the requisitioned general meeting.

CAP has yet to respond to Silvergate's requisition notice and will further advise the market once further information becomes available.
