Carpentaria Exploration Limited – AGM Adjourned

Carpentaria Exploration Limited ( CAP ) wishes to advise that it received a letter dated 10 October 2012 from one of its shareholders, Silvergate Capital Pty Ltd ACN 158 538 580 as trustee for the Silvergate Capital Unit Trust ( Silvergate ), advising of its intention to move resolutions relating to the removal and appointment of Directors ( Proposed Resolutions ) and a request that the directors of the Company call and arrange to hold a general meeting ( Requisitioned Meeting ).

CAP confirms that the Board has met to discuss the Proposed Resolutions and the Requisitioned Meeting and will comply with the requirements under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) ( Corporation Act ) to issue a notice of general meeting to its Shareholders ( Notice of Meeting ) and convene the Requisitioned Meeting accordingly.

Pursuant to the requirements under section 249D of the Corporations Act, the Requisitioned Meeting must be held no later then 2 months after the request by Silvergate was provided to CAP, i.e. by 10 December 2012.

Detail of the date, time and location of the Requisitioned Meeting and the content of the Proposed Resolutions will be contained in the Notice of Meeting which will be despatched to CAP Shareholders by no later than 31 October 2012.
