HASTINGS APPOINTS DR PHILIP HECKLEY AS PROJECT MANAGER - PRODUCTION

Hastings Technology Metals Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Philip Heckley as Project Manager – Production with immediate effect.

Dr. Heckley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Minerals Engineering (1997) and a PhD (2003) from the W.A. School of Mining at Curtin University.

Dr Heckley has spent the last three years at Lynas Corporation where he was a key member of the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant commissioning team in Malaysia. He also worked on the metallurgy development and testing of Mt Weld ore deposits and flow sheets. Dr Heckley will play a key role in bringing the Yangibana project into production.

Dr Heckley has over 15 years’ experience in the minerals industry and has spent 10 years working within industrial research and development departments within organisations such as Alcoa (alumina) and Lynas Corporation (rare earths). Dr Heckley has refinery operating experience at Alcoa, and has worked for an EPCM company (SNC-Lavalin) where he gained valuable experience in the design, engineering and construction phases of major projects.
