RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR & APPOINTMENT OF EXPLORATION MANAGER

Pura Vida Energy NL (“Pura Vida” or the “Company”) (ASX:PVD) announces that Mr David Ormerod has resigned as a director and employee of the Company in order to pursue other interests.

Mr Andrew Morrison has been appointed to the position of Exploration Manager. Andy has over 25 years of industry experience and has been Pura Vida’s New Ventures Manager since 2012. A brief biography of Andy’s career prior to him joining Pura Vida in 2012 appears below.

Mr David Ormerod said, “It has been exciting to be part of Pura Vida during its initial stages of growth. I have full confidence in the Board and management of Pura Vida to lead the Company through the next phase of its development. Andy Morrison has made an outstanding contribution as Pura Vida’s New Ventures Manager and I wish him well as he takes up a greater leadership role in the Company which includes oversight of Pura Vida’s highly experienced and accomplished technical team. I remain a shareholder of the Company and will follow with great interest the upcoming Moroccan drilling campaign.”

Pura Vida’s Chairman, Mr Jeff Dowling, said “On behalf of the Board, I wish David well in his future endeavours. David has been with Pura Vida from its beginnings and has overseen the rapid expansion of Pura Vida’s exploration portfolio and technical activities. His efforts see the Company well positioned for further growth. The Board and management of the Company remain focused on delivering key objectives across our portfolio which, in the near term, includes drilling in Morocco, a farmout in Gabon and seismic acquisition in Madagascar.”

Andy has over 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, including 12 years with BHP Billiton. Throughout his career, Andy has worked in both a technical and managerial capacity and has a proven track record of finding oil and gas. Andy has particular expertise in relation to evaluating the potential of salt plays which are a key focus within Pura Vida’s exploration portfolio.

Andy has a broad base of experience and knowledge of numerous geological settings and basins within the following provinces: Sub-Saharan Africa (Angola, Gabon, Nigeria, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, Madagascar, Tanzania and Mozambique), Saharan Africa (Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Egypt and Ethiopia), the North Sea, the Americas (Brazil, Southern Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay and Falkland Islands) and India.

During his career, Andy has gained significant experience across the upstream value chain including exploration, appraisal and development experience.
