Appointment of Non-executive Director

Hargreaves Services plc (AIM: HSP), the UK's leading supplier of solid fuels and bulk material logistics, is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Jones to the Board as a Non-executive Director with effect from today, 6 June 2014.  He will be appointed a member of the Nominations Committee and Audit Committee and he will also Chair the Remuneration Committee.

Mr Jones was until recently the Chief Executive of Associated British Ports, the UK's leading ports group which runs ports including Immingham, the UK's biggest port by tonnage and the largest coal handling facility in the UK.

Gordon Banham, CEO of Hargreaves, said: "Peter's experience will be invaluable as we grow our energy supply business. We look forward to his contribution to the Board."

The following information is disclosed pursuant to Schedule Two paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies. Peter Anthony Jones, age 59 years, has been a director of the following companies during the five years preceding the date of this announcement:
